How to Cook Crab Legs

Place 2 cups of water in a steamer or a very large pot

Add in 1 tablespoon of salt and then bring water to the boil

Add in the crab legs, and plce them onto a rack at the bottom of the pot or place into steaming basket.

When the water starts to boil again after adding in the legs, start timing the cooking process

Steam the crab legs for around 5 to 7 minutes. You will start to smell the delicious aroma and they will be warmed through

It is important not to overcook the legs as they are already cooked

Serve your legs hot with melted butter and some lemon wedges.


Fill a large saucepan half full with cold water

Add in a tablespoon of sea salt and some seasonings if required.

Bring the water to the boil

Drop the crab legs in.

Reduce the heat and allow the crab legs to simmer and heat up for 5 - 7 minutes.

Remove the legs from the water and then rinse before serving


Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

Crack the crab legs and place on a baking tray.

Brush the crab legs with butter or oil, seasoning and lemon juice

Bake in the oven for 8 - 9 minutes.


Wrap the crab legs in a damp paper towel

Cook on High setting for 2 - 3 minutes.
