Hot Crab Dip Recipe

1/2 pound fresh crabmeat picked over for shell and cartilage

8 ounces cream cheese and soften it at room temperature

1/2 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons mayonnaise from your favourite supplier

1 tablespoon lemon juice or lime works well also

1-1/4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Lea and Perrins of course.

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard and I like a mild French style

1 tablespoon milk

1/4 cup cheddar cheese grated

Step One Pick over the crab meat and remove cartilage and shell

Step Two Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and the garlic salt until nice and smooth.

Step Three Add enough milk into the mix to make the mixture creamy. Then add and combine 2 tablespoons of grated cheddar cheese.

Step Four Gently fold the crabmeat into the cream cheese mixture.

Step Five Pour into either a greased casserole dish or ramekins.

Step Six Top with the mixture with the remaining Cheddar cheese.

Step Seven Bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees F until the mixture starts to gently bubble and lightly brown on top. This takes about 30 minutes.
