1 pound crabmeat flaked and picked over

1 egg lightly beaten

2 slices bread cut the crusts off

Fresh milk

1 tablespoon mayonnaise I prefer low fat type

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon parsley flakes

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning

1/4 teaspoon salt

Canola Oil For frying


Step One Break the bread into small pieces and moisten with the milk.

Step Two Add in the Mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, parsley flakes, baking powder, Old Bay Seasoning and salt and combine well.

Step Three Add in the crab meat and gently combine

Step Four Form the mixture into balls and flatten to form patties

Step Five Heat the oil in a skillet over a medium heat and when hot sauté the crab cakes for 3-4 minutes

Step Six Turn the crab cakes over and sauté a further 3-4 minutes until golden brown



1 pound crab lump meat flaked and picked over

1 cup bread crumbs

1 egg lightly beaten

3 tablespoons mayonnaise I use low fat type

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Lea and Perrins

1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed

2 tablespoon parsley finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon seafood seasoning

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

2 teaspoon prepared mustard I use Dijon type

1/4 teaspoon red pepper

2 dashes Tabasco sauce

Butter I use unsalted for sautéing crab cakes


Step One Place all the ingredients except crab meat, bread crumbs and butter in a large bowl and combine well.

Step Two Then add in the crab meat and fold in gently.

Step Three Gradually add in the bread crumbs and fold into the mixture evenly.

Step Four Shape the mixture into portions and form crab cake patties. When done place in the refrigerator for an hour to chill.

Step Five When ready to cook, melt butter in pan and saute the patties 4 minutes on each side.



1 lb. lump crab meat

2 eggs

1/2 cup minced green pepper

1/2 cup minced shallots

1/2 cup minced onion

2 cups seasoned bread crumbs, plus some for breading

2 tbs. Cajun seasoning

3 tbs. Olive or Canola oil


Step One Saute green pepper, shallots and onion in 1 tbs Olive or Canola oil until soft.

Step Two Remove from heat and put in a mixing bowl.

Step Three Add crabmeat, breadcrumbs, eggs and Cajun seasoning.

Step Four Mix well and form into patties.

Step Five Bread the patties in some breadcrumbs.

Step Six Heat 2 tbs. Olive oil and fry patties until golden brown on both sides.
