Crab Alfredo recipes

INGREDIENTS

8 ounces crab meat use fresh or canned and flake the meat

8 ounces dried fettucine

3 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic minced

3 tablespoons all purpose flour

2 cups Half-and-Half

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

4 ounces cream cheese soften at room temperature

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Salt and black pepper to taste freshly ground of course

METHOD

Step One Cook the fettucine in lightly salted water for around 10 minutes until it is al dente

Step Two Drain the pasta and then keep warm and covered so it does not dry out.

Step Three Gently melt the butter into a large saucepan over a medium heat.

Step Four Add in the minced garlic and then cook until the garlic releases its aroma. This takes around 2 minutes and do not allow to brown.

Step Five Stir in the flour, salt, black pepper and the cayenne pepper.

Step Six Reduce the heat and simmer while stirring constantly for 2 minutes.

Step Seven Add in the half-and-half and then stir over a medium heat until has slightly thickened

Step Eight Add in the cream cheese and the Parmesan cheese to the sauce. Gently stir until the cheeses melt and mixture becomes nice and smooth

Step Nine Mix in the crabmeat and continue cooking until the crabmeat is heated through

Step Ten Plate up the fettucine for four on plates or bowls and top with the crab sauce. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

8 ounces linguine

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons flour

2 cups half-and-half

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

8 ounces cooked snow crab meat cut into chunks

Salt and black pepper

METHOD

Step One Cook linguine according to the pasta package instructions.

Step Two Melt the butter into a saucepan then stir in the flour and gently cook until it has a sandy consistency.

Step Three Whisk in the half-and-half and then stir until the mixture forms a nice thick sauce.

Step Four Stir in the cheese and season to taste with salt and black pepper.

Step Five Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors together and then stir in the crab meat.

Step Six Cook until the crab meat is just heated through

Step Seven Serve over the cooked linguine and top with parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes on the side

8 oz. dried fettuccine or plain fettuccine

1/2 cup frozen petit peas

4 oz. light cream cheese

1/2 cup milk

1 1/2 cups cooked crabmeat

4 green onionssliced

1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese

METHOD

Step One Cook the pasta according to the pasta package instructions

Step Two Add in the peas during the last 2 minutes of cooking.

Step Three Drain and return the pasta mixture to the saucepan

Step Four Heat the cream cheese and milk in a saucepan over low heat until the cheese melts and stir until smooth.

Step Five Gently stir in the crabmeat and onions and then heat through.

Step Six Pour the sauce over the pasta and toss to coat it. Let it stand another one minute and toss again. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese

INGREDIENTS

1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons pimiento chopped

1 tablespoon dry sherry

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1/2 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1/4 teaspoon celery salt

2 egg yolks

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Fresh ground black pepper

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

METHOD

Step One Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter four ramekins

Step Two Combine the pimiento, sherry, Old Bay, dry mustard, celery salt, Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and gently mix. Then add in the crab meat. Season with black pepper.

Step Three Divide mixture into the ramekins

Step Four Bake the ramekins for 15 minutes to heat and remove from oven.

Step Five Preheat broiler.

Step Six Whisk the egg yolks, 1/4 cup mayonnaise and lemon juice to blend.

Step Seven Spread this over the top of the crab mix.

Step Eight Brown the crab around 6" from heat until turns a lovely golden brown and then serve
